Anyway, I'm blaming Turin Brakes for it, and a client at work taking too long to get back to me so I had time to write a cranky ficlet!

So! It's an h/d story, of course, and it's pretty edgy, hence the darkness part of the story, but it's a featured story over at The Quidditch Pitch, which is very exciting!

I'm doing well, overall. Long weekends are always welcome and I'm just sort of soaking in my lack of current fandom obligations until November. Working and reworking my story a bit, massaging things, thinking, pondering, just sort of enjoying the process more than I have in a long while.

Cut my hair yet again! Now it's black/brown/purple and asymmetrically chin-length and shaved a bit in the back. It's pretty saucy, which makes me happy. Lots of changes and I guess I'm exacerbating it a bit, but… it's good, too. Always good to get out of a rut!

On the down side, I seem to have managed another sinus infection. The up side to that is that fevers are sort of fun if you know how to enjoy them, and if you love squick like I do, the green stuff that comes out of your nose is fascinating.

How do I feel?

Blah.

I'm not really sure what to say beyond that. I'm tired. I feel like I'm tired nearly all of the time and I'm not sure how to remedy that.

The whole Craig issue is causing me great amusement, however. How could it not? Oh Republicans. Consider a little less repression. Puts the whole Clinton fiasco into perspective, doesn't it? How many people were calling for his head? Er. Other than Monica. :)

Anyway... I did get into smutmas and I'm diligently working my assignment and am 4k words in and I have... so much to say on it, that... I wonder if it's going to turn into a novella. I suppose I have time if I'm being diligent!

I'm skipping this month's daily deviant. I guess with all of the changing up with journals and new canon I'm just feeling too unsettled to bust out with smut. Everything feels sort of up in the air and it's not very inspiring... er... other than smutmas, but then... that has solid deadlines and I know where that's going to be posted.

When did I become so needy for patterns and regular space? Dunno. Must be getting old.
